Portland Saturday Market is the nation's largest open-air arts and crafts market. Artists come to display their work and hopefully get discovered. Portland's Farmers Market: Bringing the best of the country to the heart of the city

Emblematic of Portland's commitment to sustainability is the wonderful farmers' market program open April to December in three locations downtown and as well as close-in eastside. Fabulous local and seasonal produce and farm products are available together with delicious prepared foods from local organic farms. Cooking demonstrations by local chefs and cookbook authors, free tastes of delectable offerings and presentations on gardening, food preparation and preserving are just some of the special activities. Shop all the special stalls, then get something to eat and listen to some music. It's just great fun! My favorite is Saturday morning at Portland State University where I meet my niece Ashley (also a Realty Trust Broker) and we share our love for cooking as well as our shop talk about real estate.
